Thunderstorms in January » Wed, Jan 12th 2005 9:49 pm
Never in all my 18 years did I ever imagine I’d live to experience a thunderstorm in January. But here I sit in a room in a house being pelted by rain and lit up by lightning bolts outside my window. Sweet Jesus.
Is this just another symptom of this so-called ‘global warming’, or am I being paranoid again? I’m sure we’ve f*ed the planet plenty, but I didn’t think the effects would be felt by me. Rather, my children or maybe their children, but certainly not my parents’ children.
Mother Nature is high on our pollutants… shudder

Yes it is indeed weird that Iowa of all places had thunderstorms in the middle of January.
When I first heard the thunder I thought something exploded. I guess I should pay attention to the weather channel more often.

Did I mention I live in Canada? Southern Ontario, but still… It’s just not right!
